The FUE-UJI has hosted on Friday 28th of October at 10:00 h the Multiplier Event of the Erasmus + Start up for Development project coordinated by the FUE-UJI through the EuroFUE-UJI. The event took place at the FUE-UJI and counted with the participation of the project partners, taking advantage of the celebration of the transnational meeting in Castellón.
Eva Camacho, vice-rector for International Relations at the Universitat Jaume I, was in charge of opening the session and welcoming all participants. Next, Nela Gómez, director of the European and International Projects Office of the FUE-UJI, presented the Start up project, which focuses on the concept of smart cities/villages and in the understanding of this concept by municipalities implementing smart solutions in their environment.
Anna Tolosa, Project Manager at EuroFUE-UJI has presented the results of the project, including the platform in which a course for trainers who can give municipalities a clear and comprehensive explanation of what smart cities/towns mean in their specific environment is implemented. During the session, the structure of the platform and materials were presented, which is totally free and is available on the website of the project. A further detailed explanation about the Module 4 – Smart transport was also presented, as FUE-UJI was in charge of elaborating. Martyna Kurek, Project Manager at ARID Association, presented the Module 3 – Smart Environment, focused on smart systems for managing environmental quality to improve energy efficiency and the quality of the environment in cities.
